A great activity for the fall! Let students explore how caramel apples are made and then they get to make caramel apples themselves.  The lab walks through the steps of making caramel and how to dip the apples. There is an optional section for taste testing apples bought from different locations.

Product Description

This is a great lab that we complete to allow students to explore how caramel apples are made and then they get to make caramel apples themselves! I like to complete this in the fall when students are doing fall activities that involve caramel apples. The lab goes through the different steps of how to make the recipe for the caramel and how to dip the apples. There is also an optional section that allows the students to taste test apples bought from different locations.
 
Objectives:
  1. Students will be able to explain the history of caramel apples.
  2. Students will explore different ag products that are used to make caramel apples.
  3. Students will be create and test hypothesis when tasting caramel apples.
  4. Students will complete a taste testing lab using different brands/types of caramel apples.
